This client had been to a 'professional' salon in Liverpool city centre where they had kept putting the same brunette colour through zone 2 & 3 on every visit.

This ends up becoming over processed and very dark at zone 3 especially.

The client wanted to go back to a more natural looking colour with soft blonde tones throughout and gradually lighter to the ends.

This client had asked her previous salon for an ombre. Ombre is a term that means to graduate colour from dark to light or vice versa.

What this client got was a very orange looking dip dye. The hair had been very severly damaged too. The darker colour was over proccessed and did not suit her skin tone at all.

Eight hours later, and she had a beautiful ombre.

Another over processed brunette.

one shade too dark can make a big difference, it can wash you out so much. Hi-lights help add dimension. They dont always have to be light, you can take your hi-lights as close as only one shade or two lighter than your base and have a lovely multi-tonal brunette.

Box dye blonde!

Brassy and not very beautiful,

All over was lightened up before we went back in to contour the hair with highs and lows to create depth and dimension.

A client with a naturally dark base, wantintg to go away from traditional foil hi-lights in favour of something more low maintenance, but without going too dark.

A root stretch to add a shadowy root and natural low lights throughout.

All she needs to do is have a root touch up for any pesky greys! and scatter lights when she feels the need.

When stylists try to rush a set of foils. Foil Hi-lights and low lights should (in my opinion) never look like this!

Low lights do not have to be high contrast to add depth.

And hi-lights do not always have to be done using bleach and no tone.

Weaves should never be this big either.

So after hi-lighting (babylights) correctly-both blondes are cleaned up and bright again.
